Marc Haas is an attorney in the Insurance and Reinsurance group at Robinson & Cole LLP in New York.  Marc’s practice focuses primarily on providing coverage advice to foreign and domestic insurers, and representing them in litigation matters.

A large portion of Marc’s coverage practice involves providing coverage advice to insurers with respect to claims under primary and excess first-party property and liability insurance policies.  Throughout his career, Marc has provided coverage advice to insurance company clients on a myriad of issues ranging from claims for property damage and business losses to related to the kidnap and ransom of an insured’s employee while working abroad.  Marc also regularly provides coverage advice to clients for claims involving construction defects, crane collapses, environmental damage, professional liability, and natural disasters.

Throughout the course of his litigation practice, Marc has represented clients in federal and state courts throughout the country on a range of insurance-related matters pertaining to property and casualty insurance, commercial general liability insurance, excess/umbrella insurance, and professional liability insurance.

Marc is licensed to practice law in the New York state courts as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Southern, and Northern Districts of New York.  Marc graduated from Indiana University and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
